Crohns/PCOS/hiatus hernia. I am on the immunosuppressant mercaptopurine (6MP) for the last 13 years. Chronic insomnia – on and off for 10 years plus. Tried all the usual “Sleep Hygiene” tips. Even after a “good” nights sleep I am mentally exhausted. Suffer with osteo-arthritis in hands and feet. Very overweight which is pretty unusual for someone with Crohn’s who is NOT currently on steroids (but have been in the past). All the connections you have made about sleep, and the immune system and the biome ring bells for me. I recently started taking pro-biotics and a variety of supplements including glutamine and magnesium as my research suggests I may be lacking in these and they may have an impact on sleep and energy levels?
Interested in Starch/Sleep Study – in fact sign me up for anything as I just want to feel normal again!! Thanks
