Potato starch

    Potato starch is on its way and I have been unable to find the protocol for its use on the website can you please advise regards john

    Start slowly! Mix a teaspoon into a glass of water and drink it. I think you can build up to a couple of tablespoons a day but if you go in at the high end you risk gut trouble.

    Keep us posted on how you get along… it’s the first I have heard about resistant starch and I’m fascinated!

    I would like to obtain my potato starch from actual potatoes. I get making potato salad but what about soups – does it work if it’s in cold leek and potato soup, for example? Does it still work if the soup is re-heated rather than eaten cold? Does blitzing the potatoes affect the resistant starch? Where can I find out about cooking methods and resistant starch?
