The Clever Guts regime has been working well for me over the last 3 weeks, so I decided to reintroduce gluten – a baguette and some beer – on Saturday evening. I was completely symptom free until Tuesday evening (72 hours after) when I started experiencing discomfort again. I had also had my first portion of red lentils on Tuesday lunchtime, after excluding them, so I am wondering if it is most likely to be the pulses which triggered the reaction. I hadn’t planned to introduce pulses at that point but I was stuck at work. Would the gluten have triggered a reaction before 72 hours elapsed? I am feeling very disappointed as I was starting to feel so much better, but I would love any thoughts from more experienced people on this. Thanks.
